This article is more than 16 years oldThe troubled life of Amy Winehouse has taken another dark turn after the singer was filmed smoking what is alleged to be crack cocaine.
A story in this morning's Sun newspaper claims Winehouse smoked the drug in a glass pipe as a party went on in her east London flat late last Friday night.
According to the Sun, who have posted video footage of the incident on their website: "The tormented singer took hit after hit of the drug... and she admitted she had just popped six valium pills to 'bring myself down'."
The events allegedly occurred at 5am. The next morning Winehouse attended a remand hearing for her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, currently awaiting trial on charges of perverting the course of justice.
The Rehab singer's public personal decline has seemingly gone hand in hand with her professional success. Her album Back to Black was the best-selling title of last year, and she has received six nominations for this year's Grammy awards. But a series of cancellations and poor performances blighted her live shows and, last summer, she was checked into hospital after suffering a drug overdose.
