Serena Williams is one of the most popular celebrities in the US. The tennis star has been ruling the court for over two decades and is among the most followed athletes. As she steps out from the court, the 40-year-old is a fun-loving and kind personality. However, the former world number one had little idea that her kindness will someday land her in a scary yet hilarious prank.
Back in 2005, a popular show on MTV named ‘Punk’d’ was quite popular among the viewers. The host Ashton Kutcher with his team used to park the celebrities. Here’s how they pranked Serena Williams.
Serena Williams got punk’d
In the episode, we can see Serena Williams in a parking lot. She is inside her car when she hears a lady arguing with a kid. As the lady asks him to open the door, the kid somehow starts the car and runs away. Shocked by the incident, Serena comes out of her car where the lady tells her that her baby is also inside the car.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe he did that! Oh my god, her baby is in the car,” Serena said.
Later, Serena agrees to follow the car. When they finally see the car stopped, Serena comes out only to see Ashton Kutcher saying ‘You got Punk’d.’
Surprised by this, the tennis star bursts into laughter and said, “Oh my goodness, I just got punk’d. I can’t believe it. I never thought I would get punk’d.”
Serena makes a winning start at the National Bank Open
Serena Williams played her first match after the Wimbledon heartbreak. Facing Nuria Párrizas Díaz from Spain, Serena registered a stunning 6-4 6-3 win. However, it was not easy, as the scoreline suggests. The 40-year-old had to fight hard for almost two hours to get her first win in over a year.

After the victory over world number 57, the 23-time Grand Slam champion advanced to the second round of the tournament. She will face the winner of the match between Belinda Bencic and Tereza Martincova. Following this, the 40-year-old has also signed up for the Cincinnati Masters.
